Welcome to the official website of Minerva Volunteer Fire Department & Rescue Squad. Located in Minerva, New York, a small town in the heart of the Adirondacks. We have dedicated ourselves to providing high quality fire protection and rescue services to our community, businesses, and visitors. Minerva Fire and Rescue is a high quality, full services, high performance, emergency service organization. Our history dates back to 1950 when the organization was first founded. Responding to emergencies and remaining proficient with our skills is a high priority. The fire department provides fire protection and emergency services to the Town of Minerva and surrounding areas. In addition to responding to fires, Minerva Fire and Rescue also responds to medical emergencies, motor vehicle accidents, rescue calls, and incidents involving hazardous materials. A Message from our Chief
Thank you for visiting the fire department webpage. On behalf of the entire Minerva Fire Department I would like to extend our deep appreciation to the community for its continued support. Please take the opportunity to look through our various pages to learn more about what we do and see the many faces of the organization.
I am extremely proud of the pride and professionalism of each of our Volunteers. Their unselfish sacrifice, dedication, and loyalty are unmatched. I also recognize the stress that this causes on their families and I am grateful for their support in allowing each one of our firefighters to train and to respond to emergencies to help someone in their time of need.
It is my honor and I am truly thankful to serve as your Fire Chief. I consider myself fortunate to work with a caring, well-trained, and enthusiastic group of men and women who have made a commitment to serve their community. We are here day or night, under all conditions to serve you.

Minerva Fire and Rescue is always accepting and extremely grateful for any and all donations received. All donations are put to good use, whether it be buying new gear to replace outdated or buying new equipment to better help us assist you in your time of need.
MVFDRS is a well equipped fire department with many different types of pieces of equipment for responding to a wide variety of emergencies.
Members spend countless hours each month training to be ready to respond to many different types of emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
