Junior Firefighter
Program
The Minerva Volunteer Fire Department is proud to offer a Junior Firefighter Program for local teens, ages 14-17. This program is designed to introduce young people to the fire service, teach valuable life skills, and help build the next generation of firefighters and community leaders.
About Our Program
The Junior Firefighter Program at Minerva Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad gives young people the opportunity to learn about the fire service, develop valuable skills, and become part of their community.
Through hands-on training, educational activities, and participation in department events, junior members learn the importance of teamwork, responsibility, leadership, and helping others. The program provides a positive environment where young people can build confidence, make new friends, and explore what it means to serve their community.
Junior members have the opportunity to learn about fire safety, emergency response, equipment, and the many different roles that make up a fire department. As they gain experience and reach the appropriate age and training requirements, they can continue developing their skills and work toward becoming a firefighter.
Whether they are interested in a future career in the fire service or simply want to learn something new and give back, the Junior Firefighter Program is a great place to start.
